STL Tech Camp for Syrian Refugee Youth
August 8-12, 2016
Sky's the Limit Album > STL Tech Camp for Syrian Refugee Youth
The 3rd and final summer Tech Camp hosted by Sky's the Limit was for Syrian Refugee Youth in the GTA. Over 4 days, 8 speakers came in to discuss jobs in the Canadian IT sector, Word Press, HTML, computer trouble shooting and repairs, online presence, Internet safe browsing and social media, and Internet navigation. 19 Syrian youth received valuable tech skills to empower them and help them to reach their full potential. They also each went home with their very own laptop! A very big thank you to all of our mentors, speakers and donors. Through their support we were able to change the lives of some very special youth.
