Lara Tavares, STL Founder and CEO, won the FLARE Volunteer Award for 2008! This prestigious award is presented each year to six outstanding Canadian female volunteers aged 18 and up whose volunteer achievements have made a difference to the lives of the people in their communities. The award ceremony took place on May 22nd at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto and the winners and the event will be covered in subsequent issues of FLARE.
